Element windsurfing boards - warranty conditions
This warranty is only applicable to the purchaser of a windsurfing board from Element Company. The warranty is valid for two seasons from the date of purchasing the original windsurfing board, and three seasons for boards reinforced with an additional Kevlar layer. The boards’ structures are strong enough for normal use. Black boards should be protected from excessive solar radiation so as not to cause delamination. No special maintenance is required, except for regular checking of the condition and proper functioning of their components (vent valve or Gore Tex valve).
This warranty does not cover the following situations:
- damage or defects caused by impact on any material or object (including booths and fasteners);
- damage or defects caused by collisions, misuse or accidental damage;
- damage or defects resulting from previous damage;
- damage or defects resulting from faulty transport, loading, unloading, dropping or lack of contact with water;
- damage or defects caused by incorrect board assembly or adjustment of bindings or straps;
- damage or defects caused by knee, hook or heel dents;
- damage or defects caused by use not related to leisure activities;
- damage or defects caused by temperatures above 60°C and below 0°C;
- damage or defects caused by changes or modifications, including the use of ballasts and hydrofoils not intended for the board model;
- damage or defects caused by repairs;
- damage or defects caused by the use of board after a claim has been made;
- damage or defects caused by flat landings, structural failure due to impact, overload or fatigue;
- damage or defects caused by hitting the tank bottom;
- damage or defects caused by improper storage or handling;
- damage or defects caused by storing the boards in closed damp conditions including wet covers;
- any damage or defects, except for defects in workmanship, material and technology.
Element’s liability is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective windsurfing board. Element shall not be liable for any loss or damage suffered as a result of losing or misusing the windsurfing board.
